Cookie Policy

Effective May 7, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how DeviceRent uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and Service. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners. We also use related technologies such as local storage and similar browser-storage mechanisms; for simplicity, this Policy refers to all of them as "cookies".

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, keep the Service secure, and understand how our website is used so we can improve it. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to share data with third-party advertisers.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required to operate the Service and cannot be disabled. They include authentication session cookies set by our auth provider (Supabase) and cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery. Without them, you could not sign in or use most of the Service.

Functional

These remember preferences such as theme or layout choices so the Service feels consistent between visits. They do not track you across other websites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregated usage of the Service (for example, which pages are visited and how features are adopted). Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. We configure analytics with IP anonymization where supported.

Payment and fraud prevention

Pages that initiate or display payment flows include scripts and cookies set by Stripe, our payment processor, for fraud prevention and to make checkout work. These cookies are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use to operate the Service. The relevant third parties are:

  • Google Analytics — aggregated usage analytics.
  • Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Supabase — authentication session management.

These providers may process the information they collect in their own capacity and according to their own privacy notices.

5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

On your first visit you can accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your choice at any time using the button below — declining will turn off analytics storage on your next page view.

Most browsers also allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually find these options under "Privacy", "Security", or a similar menu in your browser. Be aware that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent core parts of the Service from working, including signing in.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the official browser add-on provided by Google at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6. Do Not Track Signals

Browsers may send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting this signal, the Service does not currently respond to it. You can still control cookies through the methods described above.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Service or in applicable law. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
